MISSION & HISTORY

Engage, equip, and empower communities to become resilient Global Agents of Change and force multipliers, fostering positive local transformation while promoting global security, stability, and peace.

Community Building

Our Commitment - Empowering Local Change Agents.

At the heart of our mission is the belief in empowering local individuals to be catalysts for change within their communities. We support relocation as a solution only when absolutely necessary, focusing instead on sustainable, community- driven approaches. Our emphasis is on women, youth, and young adults as key drivers for transformative, long-term impact.

Join us in building a global community marked by harmony, compassion, and enduring transformation.

Our work at Global Agents of Change has a profound and transformative impact on the communities we serve. By engaging, equipping, and empowering individuals, we foster resilience in the face of adversity and create a ripple effect of positive change that reaches beyond borders. Our approach to humanitarian crisis response and community development focuses on transforming vulnerable populations into active participants in their own futures.

We achieve this by providing persecuted families with safe housing, access to education, vocational training, and entrepreneurial opportunities. Through these initiatives, individuals who have suffered persecution, violence, and oppression are given the tools to rebuild their lives and establish self-sufficiency. Small-business start-ups and local enterprise support allow these communities to regain financial independence and reinvest in their local economies.

This empowerment not only strengthens individual families but also helps them become force multipliers—agents of positive change within their own communities. They can then help others who are struggling, creating a sustainable cycle of support. By promoting economic resilience and social stability, these empowered individuals foster local transformation and contribute to peacebuilding efforts.

At a global level, the work we do contributes to broader goals of security, stability, and peace. By addressing the root causes of displacement, poverty, and persecution, we help reduce the conditions that lead to conflict and instability. As communities grow stronger and more self-reliant, they are better equipped to resist radicalization and other threats to peace.

In essence, the impact of our work is twofold: locally, we nurture community resilience and self-reliance, and globally, we contribute to efforts aimed at fostering long-term peace and stability. Through these efforts, Global Agents of Change is building a future where those once persecuted become empowered changemakers for the world

Testimonials

In a moment of desperation, my sponsor family in Afghanistan—a young widow and her daughter—faced an urgent need to flee, with nowhere to turn. Feeling utterly hopeless, I reached out to a friend, who connected me with Global Agents of Change. Miraculously, that very same day, they arranged a secure extraction and relocated the family to a safe house where they could stay while we figured out the next steps. Despite the immense challenges of securing passports and visas—made even more difficult without a male guardian (mahram)—the team managed to navigate the complex process and obtain the necessary documents. Soon after, they successfully resettled the family with my own team in a sanctuary country. Throughout this entire ordeal, the U.S.-based team leader was always available, responding promptly to my questions and offering guidance every step of the way. I cannot express enough gratitude for their incredible assistance—without them, giving this family a fresh start would have been impossible.

From the family:

"A special thanks to you and your team members.

Your help during my most difficult time made me feel comforted and grateful. I appreciate your valuable presence. I learned valuable skills from you over time. Thank you for your guidance. For everything you did for me, thanks. You are a very good team, even though I was alone, you really made me feel that a strong family is standing in front of me and I feel safe in your team. I had many problems in (Redacted), but you reached me on time. And you moved me to a safe place, the safe houses you provided for me were very good. Your team members, brother (Redacted) and brother (Redacted) did a great job in (Redacted), even though it was impossible for me to leave (Redacted) to (Redacted) but your team made it possible. Special thanks to the (Redacted) family in (Redacted), they worked hard and I felt safe in (Redacted).

Dear (Redacted), I wish you more success. Thanks.
